Karen Carissimo’s poems have appeared in numerous journals, including Cimarron Review, Cutthroat, Notre Dame Review, North American Review, Western Humanities Review, Crab Orchard Review, and Valparaiso Poetry Review. Her fiction has appeared in Green Mountains Review and Fourteen Hills, and nonfiction in The San Francisco Chronicle. Her first book of poems, Dream City, was published in 2012 by Iris Press.
